That does not mean you are in short when in comes to luxury as there are several very up-market hotels here.<\/p>\n<p><b>Selected walks:<\/b> For walks on Sark\u00a0see &#8220;Landscapes of Guernsey&#8221; by Geoff Daniel\u00a0and\u00a0&#8220;Walking on Guernsey&#8221;\u00a0by Paddy Dillon. PLEASE NOTE: when I refer to walk numbers etc. from the first of these\u00a0books (as <span style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">&#8220;\/Daniel\/&#8221;<\/span>) they are all taken from the <b>5th edition<\/b>.\u00a0I refer to the latter book below as \/Dillon\/.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\">\u20221 <\/span>THE FEUDAL ISLAND OF SARK (my total time 1h40; 312a 213d; net walking time 1h20). This is a slightly shortened version of Walk 13 in <span style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">\/Daniel\/<\/span>, just cutting the Beauregard part out. I did this walk\u00a0on a day trip from Guernsey. On the subject of Beauregard, I could not see this &#8220;track&#8221; leading there either, until the road signs at one of the main crossroads in Sark. Left is then Beauregard, right is lunch, sorry, the village. Had a nice lunch there at the basic AJ&#8217;S CAF\u00c9 (smack in the middle of town, on the main street).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.islandwalking.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/DSC00587.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2971\" src=\"https:\/\/www.islandwalking.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/DSC00587.jpg\" alt=\"DSC00587\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.islandwalking.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/DSC00587.jpg 333w, https:\/\/www.islandwalking.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/DSC00587-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\">\u20222\u00a0<\/span>SARK SOUTH (my total time 3h56; 528a 526d; net walking time 2h54). This is Walk 23 in <span style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">\/Dillon\/<\/span>. The total time includes refreshments at the tea garden on Little Sark. I included Dixcart Bay, which I did not include in my walk 1 above, but left out other optional detours and also Hogsback since I had\u00a0been there before. As with the above walk that follows the same route, for the most part navigation is not too difficult. Except\u00a0AGAIN this book ALSO\u00a0manages to not give any useful directions for the track to\u00a0Beauregard. I know where it is now, but used the road, as the crossroads does NOT show any sign to\u00a0&#8220;Dixcart Hotel&#8221;, it says &#8220;Stocks Hotel&#8221;. It is the only crossroads, but how would a first time visitor know that?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.islandwalking.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/DSC00604.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2973\" src=\"https:\/\/www.islandwalking.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/DSC00604.jpg\" alt=\"DSC00604\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.islandwalking.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/DSC00604.jpg 333w, https:\/\/www.islandwalking.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/DSC00604-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\">\u20223\u00a0<\/span>SARK NORTH (my total time 3h51; 440a 430d; net walking time 2h31). This is Walk 24 in\u00a0\/Dillon\/. I added detours to &#8220;Window in the Rock&#8221; (but not Port Moulin) and Point Robert.
