You can fly here from Guernsey or from Southampton, in a <a title=\"Trislander\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Britten-Norman_Trislander\">Trislander<\/a>. UPDATE: These ancient small airplanes are now long since retired.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\">T<\/span>he island is seriously laid back and cozy, and one of the nicest places I have ever visited.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\">E<\/span>ating and drinking in the small capital of St. Anne is an experience in itself, and you will not\u00a0go amiss of lots of local character (and possibly characters).<\/p>\n<p><b>Selected walks:<\/b> For walks on Alderney\u00a0see &#8220;Landscapes of Guernsey&#8221; by Geoff Daniel and &#8220;Walking on Guernsey&#8221; by Paddy Dillon. ANNE\u00a0&#8211; BRAYE\u00a0BAY &#8211; SAYE BAY\u00a0&#8211; CORBLETS\u00a0BAY &#8211; LONGIS\u00a0BAY &#8211; ST. ANNE\u00a0(my total time 3h21; 374a 369d; net walking time 2h29). This is Walk 21 in <span style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">\/Dillon\/<\/span>. ANNE\u00a0&#8211; TELEGRAPH\u00a0BAY &#8211; ST. ANNE\u00a0(my total time 3h17; 377a 397d; net walking time 2h36). This is Walk 22 in\u00a0\/Dillon\/. A bit more attention to your navigation is needed on this walk. And the book is slightly misleading at points. Towards &#8220;Telegraph Tower&#8221; I do not think there is a clear cliff path at all, regardless of what I tried I was eventually forced back to the road.
